Fiesta de Salud

The Fiesta de Salud is an annual event the Hobbs Hispano Chamber of Commerce has held each Spring. We partner with many local healthcare providers to provide basic but very important health screenings to many underinsured, uninsured, or those people that for one reason or another have not been to a medical provider.

 

Some of the exams that are usually provided are glucose levels, blood pressure, eye screenings, immunizations, and many other preventative screenings. We also partner with local exercise instructors, nutrition specialists, and insurance providers to promote a healthier lifestyle and educate them on physical health outlets that are available in town.

 

The need is evident, in recent years we have served over 300 people every year during the half-day event. Every year our host, the Hobbs Eagles Lodge has been very supportive alongside our other supporters La Tienda, Walmart, Boca Burger, Mrs. Bairds, by providing a healthy meal to promote a healthier eating alternative. This event allows us to come together with many other organizations to make a difference in our community.
